Este es el "Family magazine" de Mr.Spoqui, un fanzine trilingüe (castellano-inglés-português) hecho a mano (una presentación y encuadernación geniales), que este mes está dedicado a la memoria. Os dejo unas imágenes para que veáis el contenido y un extracto de la entrevista que me hicieron (gracias!!) Mi tipo Atasco!!, fue ganadora del concurso de tipografía que organizaron.

This is the Mr.Spoqui "Family Magazine", a fanzine in three languages (Spanish, English and Portuguese), handmade , with a great presentation and bookbinding, and this month is dedicated to the memory.
I show you some pics so you can see the contents and an extract from the interview that they made me, thank you! My type Atasco!!, was winner of the typography contest that they organized.

Esta semana me ha llegado la postal que como intercambio de artistas te proponía Postcards from Europe al finalizar la exposición. A mí me ha llegado la de Milly Freeman. La postal del buzón es de Rosie Gainsborourgh, una de las organizadoras.

This week I've received a postcard that "Poscards from Europe" sent as an exchange of artists at the end of exposure. I have received the Milly Freeman's postcard. The mailbox postcard is from Rosie Gainsborourgh, one of the organizers.

Y para acabar, os enseño un poco de lo que estoy haciendo, espero que salga bien y poder enseñarlo pronto.

Lap Steel Guitar

Hace tiempo decidí que quería construirme un lap steel, y bueno, parece que por fin voy a empezar. Por ahora solo tengo las medidas y los componentes (pastillas, reguladores, clavijas) sacados de una guitarra eléctrica vieja , pero por algo se empieza. Intentaré sacar tiempo y hacer un poco cada día. Para mí es igual de importante que suene y que quede bonito. A ver si tengo suerte y consigo las dos cosas, y en un post futuro os enseño como ha quedado y como suena.

Some time ago I decided I wanted to build a lap steel guitar, and well, it seems that finally I'll start. So far I have only measures and components (pads, regulators, pin) taken from a old electric guitar. I will try to find time and do a little each day. For me it is as important as sound and make it beautiful. If I have luck with both, On a future post I have been and how it sounds.

Otra de las cosas que he estado haciendo estas semanas ha sido el diseño de este cd a modo de carpeta de disco de vinilo. Mi amigo Alberto me ha regalado su iPhone "viejo", y como una de sus aficiones más grandes es cantar (tiene varias y en todas es un as, actor, realizador, cámara...) yo he pensado en hacerle un regalo de agradecimiento especial. Hace algún tiempo grabo una versión muy simpática de "Vacaciones de verano" de Formula V, y ahora si quiere, por fin tiene donde guardarla junto a sus discos.
Me lo he pasado genial con este mes tan musical, espero que os guste!

Another thing I've been doing these past weeks has been the design of this CD as a vinyl folder. My friend Alberto has given me his "old" iPhone, and as one of her hobbies is singing (he hasseveral and all is an ace, as an actor, director or camera ...) I thought to give a special thanks gift. Some time ago he recorded a very sympathetic version of Formula V "Vacaciones de verano", and now finally has nowhere to store it if he wants with their albums.
I had a great time with this musical month, I hope you like!

Musica (Uno) - Rocco

Rocco ha tenido la enorme suerte de firmar con una compañía discográfica, y en septiembre van a reeditar su disco. ¡Enhorabuena! Además me han vuelto a pedir que haga el diseño completo del cd, con la única condición de que aparezca en la portada el reno que tanto les gusta y que se ha convertido en algo así como un logo del grupo.
La verdad es que ha sido todo muy rápido, no teníamos muchos días, pero al final he llegado a tiempo.

Rocco had the great luck to sign with a record company, and in September will reissue their first album. Congratulations! Also, they have asked me again to do the complete design of the cd, with the only condition that appeared on the cover the caribou which they love and that has become something like a logo for the group.
The truth is that it was all very fast, we didn't have many days but I finally found the time.

El otro día descubrí un fotógrafo genial gracias a la gente de From the wild. El fotógrafo se llama Hugh Holland y en especial me gusto una sesión de los años 70 sobre un grupo de chavales que hacían skate. Total, que he dibujado un skater 100% inspirado en las fotos de este fotógrafo.
Espero que os guste, es la primera vez que pongo el proceso. Y si, soy muy zurdo.

A few days ago I found a great photographer via the people of "From the wild". The photographer called Hugh Holland. I especially like pictures of the 70's about a group of kids who were skateboarding. Overall, I've drawn a skater 100% inspired by the photos of this photographer.
Hope you like it, is my first time to showing the process. And yes, I'm so lefty.

Hace casi un año asistí a un taller que Mauro Entrialgo dió en Madrid (gracias Andrea), en el que nos explicó, entre otras muchas cosas, de qué va eso de "dibujar bien", y nos habló de la dificultad de dibujar manos.

Resumiendo, dentro de la obsesión de dibujar manos y que ultimamente me solapa a la hora de dibujar cuerpos, si en las fotos de arriba veis manos, es que no lo hago tan mal, jajaja!

Por cierto, en breve estarán todas esas manos (y más) en la tienda.

Almost a year ago I attended a workshop that gave Mauro Entrialgo in Madrid (thanks Andrea), which explained, among other things, what is "good draw", and talked about the difficulty of drawing hands.

Summing, in my obsession with drawing hands, and that ultimately will not let me draw bodies, if you see hands in the pictures above, that means I'm not so bad, haha!

By the way, will soon be all those hands (and more) in my Etsy shop.
